This website now is in its 14th year and thanks to encouragement from a few friends from Canada, the United States and western Europe it will exist for a few more years although my spare time is getting increasingly scarce since last few years.

This "web-playground" deals with personal interests of mine--stuff like outdoor activities, fly fishing, working with bamboo to make fishing rods from, outdoor photography and enjoying nature. I am an active fly fisherman for about 35 years and make my own fly rods for about the same time.

Photography is a passion of mine since 1969. As a kid I wanted to become a professional photographer, but got badly sidetracked and ended up in mechanical engineering and finally in the information technology business. :-)

The bamboo rodmaking section is the largest part of this website and came into being because I always favored split bamboo fly rods for my fly fishing activities. Besides that, bamboo is one of the most interesting and versatile plants of this planet.

In these pages you find a number of links to Amazon.com--reading is another interest of mine and I have to admit that I love books as well as music (listening to as well as making). O.K. folks, all for now...so again, welcome dudes. ;-)
